Did you know that some plants and fungi actually share resources through a mycorrhizal relationship? While the plants can produce enough food to share with the fungi, the fungi can reach farther underground to mine minerals and collect water for the plants. It's a whole ecosystem underground. So, what are mycorrhizae and how can we encourage this relationship between our plants' roots and the beneficial fungal life in the soil? And, why should we?
