Growing Flowers
1. Geophytes: What Are They? (30 minutes)
When you pick up a "bulb" in the nursery, do you really know if it is a bulb or something else? Maybe it's a corm, a rhizome or other tuberous plant. How do you know which is which? What are their similarities and differences, and why does it matter? Presenter: Pat Lust PLEASE NOTE: In order to present, our speaker will need a small table for the projector as well as a screen or blank wall to project onto clearly. Also available via Zoom video conference.
2. How to Design a Moon Garden (40 minutes)
Learn about the elements to incorporate into your garden so you can enjoy it after dark. This will include flowers and foliage that reflect light, flowers that open at night, and plants that give night fragrance. Presenter: Connie Sorrell PLEASE NOTE: In order to present, our speaker will need a small table for the projector as well as a screen or blank wall to project onto clearly. Also available via Zoom video conference.
